Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Celestype (celestype.com) (the "Service"), operated by Aurum Ocean Intelligence Ltd (金海匯智能), a company registered in Hong Kong ("Aurum Ocean Intelligence", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Refund Policy, each of which forms part of your agreement with us and should be read together with these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf where required by local law.

Accounts and Guest Sessions

You may use certain features of the Service as a guest, without creating an account, or you may create an account using your email address or by signing in with Google.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account, and to keep that information up to date. Notify us promptly at support@celestype.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

Guest Sessions

Guest sessions let you use certain features of the Service without registering, identified by a locally stored guest identifier. Guest session data may be lost if you clear your browser storage or switch devices, and is not a substitute for creating an account if you want your results saved reliably.

The Service We Provide

Celestype provides the following features:

• Personality assessments — quizzes and questionnaires that generate a personality-type result based on your answers.
• A free birth-chart tool — generates an astrological and/or BaZi chart reading based on the birth date, time, and place you provide.
• Paid AI-generated reports — a more detailed, personalized written report generated by our AI models from your assessment answers and birth data, available as a one-time purchase.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. The Service, including all assessments, chart readings, and reports, is provided for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only, as further explained in our Disclaimer.

Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree that you will not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Abuse, harass, threaten, or attempt to harm other users or our staff.
• Scrape, crawl, or use any automated means to harvest data from the Service, or otherwise access the Service other than through the interfaces we provide.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or its related systems.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this section and to take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating your access, as described in the Suspension & Termination section below.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including the Celestype name and logo, the website, our software, and the templates and frameworks underlying our generated content, are owned by Aurum Ocean Intelligence Ltd or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of that intellectual property to you.

You retain ownership of the personal information you submit to the Service, such as your birth date, time, and place, and your quiz answers (your "Inputs"). You grant us a license to use your Inputs solely to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service and to view and use your own assessment results and reports for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Paid Products & Orders

Some features of the Service, including AI-generated reports, are offered for a one-time fee. Prices and the currency you will be charged are shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider that acts as the merchant of record (or an authorized reseller) for your purchase. That provider — not Aurum Ocean Intelligence Ltd — is the seller of record, is the party you contract with for the payment transaction, issues your invoice or receipt, and is responsible for calculating, collecting, and remitting any applicable sales tax, VAT, or similar charges on the transaction. The specific payment provider is identified to you at checkout.

Refunds

Your purchases are subject to our Refund Policy, which sets out the circumstances in which you may be eligible for a refund and how to request one. Please read the Refund Policy before making a purchase.

Entertainment Purpose & Disclaimer

Celestype is for entertainment and self-reflection only and is not professional advice. Assessment results, birth-chart readings, and AI-generated reports are not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice of any kind, and should not be relied upon as such.

Your use of the Service is subject to our Disclaimer, which explains these limitations in full and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Aurum Ocean Intelligence Ltd, its officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent any liability is not excluded under the preceding paragraphs, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the specific report or product giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, including the Acceptable Use section above, or if we are required to do so by law.

You may stop using the Service, and may close your account, at any time. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund except as set out in our Refund Policy.

The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law & Dispute Resolution, and this sentence — will survive any termination or expiration of these Terms.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Hong Kong"), without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

You agree that the courts of Hong Kong will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service or applicable law. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date above; for material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as an email or an in-app notice.

Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
